My note on petition:
I believe in the natural, physical, mental and spiritual benefits of magic mushrooms. Research into their potential is so important and I feel it would be a mistake to keep these organisms as a banned substance, preventing us from making leaps forward in medicine, further understanding mental health, the benefits of psychadelic experiences, exploring consciousness and ultimately preventing many people receiving treatment they could benefit from.
Until there is genuine, unbiased and in depth research into substances such as Psilocybin, evidence of their positive potential or their negative effects cannot be determined fully - therefore they should not yet be banned.
